All events, with exception of the award ceremony and Holberg Banquet, are open and free of charge to the general public. We welcome all to the celebration of this year’s Laureates!

Masterclass: Living in Words: The question of myth
The Holberg Prize has invited Nordic PhD students to an exclusive Masterclass with Holberg Prize Laureate Marina Warner. Their conversation will dwell around the following question: In times of conflict, migration, and economic tumult, what happens to the culture and history of people who lose their homes?

The Holberg Symposium: Myth, Homelessness and the "County of Words"
International scholars, authors and critics meet to explore myths, images, modernity, legends, national identity and cultural reconstruction.

The Holberg Evening
Haddy N’Jie will guide us through an evening with this  year’s prize winners. Entertainment by Bjarte Hjelmeland and Inger Lise Størksen. Tapas will be served at the event. NB! Limited number of seats.

Award ceremony for the Holberg Prize School Projects 
This year’s winners will receive their awards from the Norwegian Minister of Education Torbjørn Røe Isaksen and the Holberg Prize Laureate Marina Warner.

Venue: Bergen Katedralskole, Kong Oscars gate 36
Time: 10.30 am–11.30 am

Award ceremony for the Holberg Prize 2015 and Nils Klim Prize 2015 (by invitation only)
The awards will be officially presented to the winners by H.K.H. Crown Prince Haakon.

11 June (Oslo)

The Holberg Conversation: From the Mouths of Stories: New Songs for Old
Holberg Prize Laureate Marina Warner in conversation with Palestinian-Egyptian poet, columnist and political scientist Tamim Al-Barghouti.
